We use traditional Japanese methods to make our "baby-safe" organic fibers. Our fabric is made from a combination of Organic Cotton and Hemp. Hemp has a billion year history of use in Japan, but it has been forgotten in recent years, being replaced by synthetic materials. We use hemp not only as a way to remind people of its cultural significance, but
also its unique attributes. Hemp does not have an electrostatic propensity, so it is difficult for static electricity to occur.
Because the fabric is very breathable, it is cool in the summer, and yet it is warm in winter. It also protects skin from ultraviolet rays.
By mixing our hemp with organic cotton it is very soft and flexible, perfect for yoga, sleepwear, or everyday activities.
All of our colors are dyed naturally using actual plant materials. We dye our clothing using a new technology called ”Kusakizome”, which retains the botanical energy of the plant. Currently our color choices include Suou - Pakistani roses, Noshime - Canadian blueberries, Sumikuro - Mexican logwood, Fuji - French Lavender, Sumomo - Polish red elder, Keshizumi - Japanese bamboo charcoal. By using natural colors we find our clothing is more in tune with our surroundings in nature, helping people feel more connected to the Earth.
